Once again, we have video evidence of Kellyanne Conway violating the law blatantly and without a care in the world, and we have yet to see anyone do a thing about it. No, she isn’t selling the drugs that she certainly looks (and sounds) like she’s taking, but what she is doing is no laughing matter — and it’s a big part of the larger problem with the Trump administration, which is that they simply do what they want until they’re forced to stop doing it, or possibly just keep doing it anyway.
We’re talking, of course, about Conway’s near-daily violations of the Hatch Act, for which she actually was reprimanded in the beginning by this White House. It is our sense that since that time, Trump has evaluated the worth of her shilling for him against the potential political cost of voters actually figuring out that she’s breaking the law, and decided he’d rather have her just commit crimes for him.
In front of the White House, in the driveway, Kellyanne was answering reporters’ questions when she brought up Joe Biden, one of the myriad candidates for the Democratic nomination for the 2020 presidential race. Obviously the White House is worried about Joe, or they wouldn’t even bring him up — but Kellyanne did exactly that, and not just some passing mention.
And by the way, while I’m on the subject of Biden, since he’s hovering over everything now… Is he for Medicare For All? Because Medicare For All means that Obamacare didn’t work.”
She went on to take jabs, even awkwardly trying to0 turn “Obamacare” into “Obama-Biden-Care,” a mouthful even for one as big as hers. And of course, if Biden did support Medicare For All, it doesn’t mean anything of the sort — only that something better is available to us as an option.
But more importantly, she shouldn’t be talking about Joe Biden at all in any way that expresses an opinion, because she is not allowed to campaign against Biden under the Hatch Act — and she’s definitely not allowed to do it on federal property. Property doesn’t get much more federal than the White House driveway.
Watch the clip here:
I hear her husband is a pretty good lawyer, she should really sit down with him soon.
